Frequently asked questions

When will I feel better or see some positive results?

It's important to remember that we are all different, so getting the first results is very individual. Factors that contribute to the effectiveness of therapy include: age, gender, fitness level and a number of other physical conditions that can contribute to the body's response rate. Essential factors that can positively influence the outcome of light therapy include:

  • Good eating habits and optimal diet (do not overeat)
  • A good and sufficient drinking regime
  • Regular daily routine and sleep
  • Low levels of psychological stress
  • No smoking, limited alcohol consumption

I used phototherapy for two days - still my problems persist.

Keep in mind that biostimulation devices do not have the same mechanism of action to suppress pain as drugs or other pain killers. A lot depends on the type of problems, as long as they are acute cases the body's soothing effect occurs, after proper use of phototherapy, quickly. For chronic painful conditions, the onset of therapy is slower, but its effect, in the form of relief, is more lasting. Remember, the longer the problem has been bothering you, the longer you have to allow for the first positive reaction to the therapy.

When is it appropriate to use continuous and when pulse therapy?

We use the polarized light of the BioStimul biolamp in two modes - continuous or pulsed. The continuous mode is the basic mode and should be used by patients who are new to phototherapy or in the case of chronic health problems at the beginning of a whole treatment.

A stronger biological response will occur if a pulsed mode application is used. The cell and its parts perceiving the light sometimes tend to adapt to the effects of the light with prolonged use of the continuous mode (especially for chronic problems), thus increasing their sensitivity and, conversely, decreasing the effect while keeping the same application times. This problem is eliminated just by using the pulsed mode - in this case adaptation does not occur and the result is therapeutically more pronounced.

Hence the following recommendation - for the first applications (7-10) use continuous and then use pulsed mode. In case of acute problems (e.g. very painful bruising) the pulse mode can be used immediately.

Can't I get cancer with polarized light?

In every organism there is always a certain percentage of pathogenic cells present that are capable of inducing malignant growth. The immune system of each organism makes sure that this does not happen sometimes. As has already been described by many scientific studies, polarised light has the ability to strengthen all immune processes thanks to its biostimulating effect, so by its very nature there is no longer any concern of this nature. On the contrary, the recommendation to use phototherapy for the daily prevention and enhancement of the immune system of every even healthy individual is in place.

Can the use of the BioStimul be combined with other treatment methods?

Phototherapy belongs to physical therapeutic methods, therefore it can be combined with classical medical procedures (allopathic medicine) as well as with other therapeutic methods (magnetotherapy, ultrasound, balneotherapy and others) and with natural preparations. It is always necessary to respect the recommendations for correct use and, if necessary, to consult these combinations with a specialist.

Can phototherapy cause health problems if used for a long time?

Absolutely not. There have been studies in which cells were illuminated for 30 days at 100 times the recommended exposure time, and which clearly showed that long exposure times do not cause any negative physiological changes, nor do they have any other negative effects.
